windows firewall in windows vista keeps turning off RRS feed

  • Question

  • The windows firewall keeps being turned off, do not know how. I believe this started about a weeek ago after the last windows live onecare update.  After the last update, I re-booted my pc and it kept re-booting itself for about 5 or so times.  It finally stayed at the sign-on screen long enough for me to log on to my pc, but now when I sign on to my pc each day I have a warniong form my windows hme server that my pc has teh windows firwall turned off.

This happens even when I have a non-admin user signed on to the pc.  I read other posts about onecare disabling windows fire wall, but I do not understand that....when I go to control panel, security, turn fire wall on/off..it has always been on.  As you can tell I am no computer expert...I need help.

  • There is a bug in One Care build 2.2900.22 that causes Security Center to report an incorrect One Care status. An update was released today which you will receive automatically and should fix the issue.
