CompuGuard Cornerstone persistent memory RRS feed

  • Question

  • CompuGuard Cornerstone is a software product that replaced the centurianguard hardware product that locks down the harddrive.  It works with CompuGuard Control to allow autoshutdown of computers.

Another great options is Persistent Memory.  THis partitions the harddrive and creates a space for the public to us; it is not deleted at boot.

I use steadystate (and all of it's ancestors) to create profiles. I do not use disk protection; CompuGuard does this.

The combination of the two has worked well until SteadyState.  Now persistent memory gives me an error that the disk is write protected.

Like I said it worked with the original public access tool and everything until steadystate.

Any suggestions as to how to get this to work?

By the way, why do you need SteadyState? As far as I know most of the restrictions can be applied by using
