Non-Genuine Windows 7 C004F07C RRS feed

  • Question

  • About 1 month ago my system crashed and was not able to boot.

My daughter mentioned that she was constantly being asked to download a link and could not get out of it and executed the download.  The system crashed and was not able to be boot.

I took the laptop for repair and they were able to repair the system so that it could boot.  However, he noted that he used Vista disks and didn't realize that the system had windows 7 on it.

After some time,  I received a message that this is not a genuine windows 7 o/s.

Here is the log...not sure what a C004F07C is ...

I was able to get a Microsoft technician to look at my system.

The solution that he came up with was to re-generate a new product key and that worked fine.
