cases nav item not displaying in workplace? RRS feed

  • Hello, the Cases nav item does not appear to be displaying in the Workplace nav section of my CRM app. The Case customization has Workplace checked in the "Areas that display this entity" section. Any idea why the Cases nav item might not display under the Workplace nav section and if so then is there a way to get it back?

  • Hello,

    Just check if someone has done any changes in sitemap (you can export sitemap, if you are using ms crm 2011, you can extract solution) and check there it that nav item is not commented

  • Is this an imported solution (eg from dev to production)?

    When you update an entity and select different areas to display it and then publish, this is written to the Sitemap. If you import an entity in a Solution it shows the check marks for the areas, but it does not force update the Sitemap in the target system - you need to include the Sitemap as a component in the Solution, or go and edit it directly using something like xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com
