  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

In my organizations new CRM 5.0 DB sign out option is not visible in the header part for all the users. How to make it visible.

Any one knows solution for this?

  • Not really.  Since CRM uses seamless Active Directory authentication I can't think of how you can really sign out besides signing out of the computer.

  • By default CRM uses active directory windows authentication. This is the reason it neither prompts you with a sign-in page nor does it have option to sign out.

If you need the users to be presented with a sign in page you need to configure claims based authentication. With sign in available then sign-out would be visible always.

  • Hi Sam ,

    Thanks for your reply.

The situation i am facing  is - sign-in option is available, only sign-out option is not available. so when i close the window and want to login with different user i was not able to do it.   with cache memory, it automatically enters with last login user id. only if i use internet explore- in private i can login with different user.

so right now my problem is to bring the sign out option in the screen. And you said about claim based authentication, if that is the only solution can you tell how to configure it.

    Thanks

  • Hi Shankar,

When you say sign-in option is available, i assume you are referring to the windows sign-in dialog that comes up and not a login page that opens in IE requesting to enter login in and password similar to generic websites.

There are some resources available that would help you configure IFD/Claims-based authentication for CRM 2011. Check these out...
