Configure Alerts RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
As I am a regular visitor to the MSDN forums and I have set up the Alerts just to see the small "Bell" next to the threads I have posted.
I have configured the alerts and I get a lot of  mails daily whenever any activity is done on the thread.

It would be nice if we could configure the alerts that we want in the mail like: someone marking my posts as an answer or helpful post.
    Hope this helps !!

  • There is a lot I'd like to do with alerts, like enable people to do what you describe as well as extend the options to get forum digests (daily if people wanted), or get abuse reports, stuff like this. But these things all take time and people. I'll ensure your ask is added to our backlog so it can be considered for future releases.

  • It would also be good to be able to switch off an alert from the My Alerts page, rather than having to go into the post, and click remove alert.

Every now and then I need to go through all the threads I have set an alert on and remove it because its been answered; doing this for multiple alerts from a single page would be a big help!
