  Having the possibility of sahring the desktop with only a limited number of colours would greatly improve speed. I used to use Inquiero for desktop sharing and this software has a nice feature: you can choose between 4-16-256- 64000 colours. And on a dial up connection 4 colours is not bad, while 64000 is really slow.
