Contents of posts aren't displayed often RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Posts (in the EW forum) are often displayed empty (no text). Refreshing the page is a workaround but is annoying. I am used to be able to get needed content by making just one request.

I use Firefox (3.5.2 currently, but this problem has existed for quite a long time).

  • Which forums? Can you share a URL? I'd like to try to reproduce this.

  • The answer to your question was already in my original post (EW forum -- i.e. Expression Web forum). To make it super easy for you, I'll give you a direct link:

  • Firefox does have trouble with long threads in these forums.  I sometimes see empty posts, also a black rectangle that scrolls along with page.  Forcing a refresh tends to work.  The post editor doesn't validate HTML, I think that's the root of the issue.  You should post the URL of a specific thread that has this problem.

  • I have posted the URL. It seems that I've had this problem with practically all threads (or maybe only long ones?), and I am sure this one is one of them:

I have also seen the black rectangle!

  • Yup, fits the pattern.  Long thread, black rectangle, empty posts after that, refresh fixes it.  Should be a good one for the forum devs to diagnose this problem.
