Getting the error "The disk is full" when I use the CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have an IFD installation that keeps getting "Microft Dynamics CRM has encountered an error" window when I use the system. The error about to be sent to Microsoft is "The disk is full" however the disk isn't full so there is something else causing this problem. The installation is at UR 8 which is supposed to solve this problem. We haven't upgraded past UR8 since it is an IFD.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you resolve it?

    Thanks

  • This was a bit annoying. Checked the trace, which I should have started with and it was the refresh.png from the Activity feed that was giving me this error. I wasn't aware that the Activity feed was installed on the system either.

The even stranger thing is that to solve the problem I had to activate english language support for the organization.

This error message is so far from what the error is it isn't even funny. I've seen it on another deployment and the problem that time was that I was using the IP instead of the server name when I accessed the CRM.

Something should be done about the error messages AND the Activity feed addon.

    Thanks for all help

  • Hi,

Could you enable trace and see what the logs are reporting?

  • Are you using the Outlook Client or the Web Client?

I am just curious to if it thinks the Clients disk is full or if it thinks the servers disk is full. If happens when using the web client you may want to check your disks for SQL server.

  • Hi,

    Check these options:

1- On database, in "databases" right click on the name of the organization. Click on "files" tab. Check if the log files whether is restricted or not.

2- In this path: C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles on application server, check if the folder is full or not. This is the folder of IIS logs.

3- If error is on the client, it could be from full disk space allocated for outlook etc.

    Hope this could help you.
