With Sync Provider for SqlServer, how to intercept change to destination an validate with business rule

say I have a source and provider that I am syncing (both sqlserver 2008). I want to have a business rule that says if a column of type nvarchar does not start with "A", don't apply the change.

What does that code look like? I can't figure it out or find an example.

You could make corrections for that change in the RelationalSyncProvider.ApplyingChanges Event (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.synchronization.data.relationalsyncprovider.applyingchanges(v=SQL.105).aspx ) . Use the dataset in the event args and make corrections as needed for the rows which doesn't meet the business logic requirement. Also record the corrected rows in a separate table. After sync is finished, do a dummy update (with same current data) for these corrected rows to make sure the incorrect source data will be overwritten in reverse sync.
