Site List - Add a Site: The site address isn't valid. RRS feed

    I'm trying to add a site that I manage

     

    I type in www.propertygenie.co.za and I get the message: The site address isn't valid.

     

    But it doesn't say why.  I'm using Oracle portal and I know this could be a problem, but the address works in a browser, the site has pages indexed in live.com and returns results with your HTTP Verifier. (see below)

     

    Any ides why or what I need to do to get my site verified for webmaster tools.

    Hi,

    I just tried adding wearingthehat.biz and squawcreekkennels.com to the tools and it worked fine for me. You may want to try again. Also, don't use http or www, just enter the domain name.


    William, your site is still not working. The dev/test teams are working to fix this issue.

    Hi William,

     

    I've seen a rash of these issues lately. I don't think it is anything wrong with your site. I have added it to a list of sites with issues. I'll post back as soon as I have an update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I'm having the same issue. Mine is a DNN portal (I am using DNN Masters SEO URL Re-writing though). The url is http://www.jasongetsitsold.com. It works fine in a browser and the google tools see it fine, but I used the HTTP Verifier tool on the webmaster central site and get a 404. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I'm also running into this problem when I try to register my site's URL with both this search engine and others.  I know the site address works because I can type it in and access my webpage from multiple computers.

    Would you be able to help me out as well?

    I have the same problem with the domain www.sigmanek.de. It works fine from different computers within the browser,
    but it doesn't work to register.
