I wanted to activate my os but I can't do it. When I start "All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows" nothing happens.

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. Your issue is related to Windows Product Activation. In an attempt to assist I would like to provide some information which may or may not help.
From the Desktop:
1.
Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and then Activate Windows.
Or, click the Windows Activation icon in the taskbar notification area next to the clock.2.
Click Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows now.
3.
Click Read the Windows Product Activation Privacy Statement, click Back, and then click Next.
4.
Follow the steps in the “Activate Windows by phone” dialog box, and then click Next.
Note The number appears now and differs based on the location that you select.5.
When activation is completed and you receive the following message:
You have successfully activated your copy of Windows
Then click OK.

I didn't receive any error messages. I just clicked "All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Activate Windows" icon but nothing happens. I tryed to start msoobe.exe manually but got the same result and I found the programm in C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution,old\Download\eced8b5ea8e636fb8bff2b719fa62647 folder. I rename the folder by http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316524/ru sugestions because I have 0x80070020 error code when i tryed to update OS from http://update.microsoft.com.

Well .... I wrote that I done step 1 but I can't do step 2 and etc. because after step 1 nothing happens. There is no some window or different one after clicking the icon. What should I do for activation (for starting the form (window))Thursday, March 19, 2009 9:49 AM
