Its been one full day now that the Points/Forum Activity are not getting updated. Any update on that?

It looks like no Profiles have been updated for about 2 days now. This includes TechNet Wiki activity, Blog activities, and TechNet/MSDN forums activities. It probably includes activity in the TechNet Gallery, but I cannot tell yet.

I reported this to the forums team yesterday but I haven't heard anything back as of yet.

Thanks for reporting this, I had not noticed. The "My Threads" view is getting updated. The problem with the Profile Activities may be related to the bug fix being tested to fix the authentication problems we have been having, where users get logged out of the forums without them realizing it.
