LiveMesh Error on Win7 x64

Question
-
I'm getting this error message when trying to install LiveMesh on Windows 7 RTM x64
---------------------------
Live Mesh v0.9.4014.7
---------------------------
Live Mesh service is unavailable.
Please retry your installation later.
The server returned an invalid or unrecognized responseError: 80072F78
The Installer pass the 'Installing Live Mesh Software' phase but fails in 'Preparing for use' and then it uninstalls it self.

Is this a new install? The error is a Windows Update error and might mean that your date, time and/or time zone are incorrect on the PC. If they are incorrect, fix it and reboot the PC before trying again.
If the problem persists, filing a bug and attaching logs would be a good idea. You may not receive a response to your bug report, though.

Thanks for the prompt reply Stephen. My date, time and/or time zone seems to be ok. I have another Win7 x64 machine beta build 7100 with the same date/time etc settings and Live Mesh works without any problem. I will follow your suggestion and file a bug.
BTW, I cannot collect log files cause live mesh uninstalls it self.

You're welcome. There should still be a servicing log from the install that backs out. Details are in the link I posted for instructions on bug filing.
I just installed Live Mesh to a Win7 RTM x64 machine yesterday, so I know it is supposed to work. I've got another issue on that machine with the NIC driver that got installed, but Live Mesh installed successfully. Is there another machine in your Live Mesh that has the same name, by any chance, assuming that you reinstalled Win7 to bring it up to RTM?

I'd love to take credit for it, but it would seem that the error may have simply been caused by a temporary connectivity issue. Glad to read that it is now working. :-)
