Update reset all my whole computer... RRS feed

    I came home today and my computer was completely changed. My background was not there, my itunes wasn't there the programs with my shortcuts were not there. I restored it and everything is there as it was now. It said there was an update that occurred at 3:00 pm. Why did this happen? I don't want my computer to change from these updates like that but shouldn't I be able to still get updates without my entire system changing. I don't want this to happen again. Help please.

    I'm not really sure of what happened to your computer but Windows Updates do not change your personal settings. From your description it is likely Windows Explorer shut down. Restarting your computer should have restored your desktop.
