    The Genuine Windows with my new computer was in Korean so the computer store loaded an English version of Windows (not genuine).  I didn't realise the software was not genuine till much later.  But, as far as I concerned - I have already paid for Windows (XP Home Edition), I have the CD in front of me (in Korean) and don't think I should have to pay again. 

    I tried the `Change the Product Key tool' but it wouldn't work.  Error message.

    What I think is that if I have paid to use Windows and am using one equivalent version instead - I have paid enough for the product.  If I was using the Korean language version and the pirated version - yes, I could see why you would want to be paid more. But that's not the case.  Please advise. Thanks.

    If you wish to install the English version of Windows XP, then you'll have to purchase a license for the English version of Windows XP.  Otherwise, you'll need to reformat your hard drive and reinstall the Koren version of Windows XP which shipped with your computer.
