Attaching jpg files to email sends message "Prohibited file type". RRS feed

  • Question

  • Every time I attach a jpg photo or graphic to an email I get a message that says "Prohibited file type. This message contains an attachment whose file type is considered dangerous. The file has been deactivated." I can't figure out what has changed to create this problem. I have saved the photos using different programs, but it always ends up with that same message when I attach it to an email. I can insert the photo into a Word document and have no problem opening the document. I hope someone can point me in the right direction to fix this. I have some scanned papers that need to be sent out soon. And it isn't just scanned items, it's camera photos and internet graphics too.
