  • Good Morning Mickeycj,

    Thank you for visiting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum. I understand the inconvenience you are currently experiencing. We have seen numerous issues from customers who were provided a Volume License Key (VLK) on their computer that has either been blocked by Microsoft or generated by a fake product key code generator. WGA currently provides checks for these types of product keys and prompts the user to notify them of this situation. More invalid product keys are being identified daily and WGA is constantly refreshing its database with these newly identified product keys and immediately blocks them.

    Right now, your computer has a Volume License (VL) edition of Office XP Professional with FrontPage identified. Below is an extract taken from the MGA Diagnostic results you provided to us:

    OGA Data-->

    Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2

    Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage - 114 Blocked VLK 2

    Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 - 100 Genuine

    OGA Version: Registered, 1.7.105.35

    Signed By: Microsoft

    As a rule, VL editions should not be sold to individual consumers. Businesses, schools and governments normally use VL editions for flexibility in installing many computers Also, Volume Licenses for Windows XP is Upgrade licenses ONLY and cannot be used as the original or base license for a new computer.  Mickey if this is a corporate system please ask your systems administrator to logon to the eOpen site (https://eopen.microsoft.com/EN/default.asp) and confirm what your company’s assigned VLK. If this computer is not a corporate system please uninstall Office XP Professional with FrontPage. Next please restart your computer and try to Validate once again.

    Take care,

    Stephen

  • Thankyou for your reply
    In reference to your point re: VL editions and individual consumers. I previously owned a business which used this computer and program however, it has since closed and I now have the system for my use. I do not wish to loose any of the program, would this happen if I uninstalled Office XP Front Page and restarted to validate. I still use most of the program. please advise.

  • Mickey,

    Which programs are you referencing that you do not want to loose? What version of Office Professional 2003 do you currently own i.e. retail version, OEM, or is it an Upgrade? If the version is an upgrade then yes you would loose the programs because upgrades need a prior full version which to build upon. Right now Office XP Professional with FrontPage has been blocked which requires you to physically uninstall it. Now if your Office Professional Suite 2003 is a full version then all should be okay.

    Take care Micky,
