DSC Pull Server - Receiving error does not exist at the PowerShell module path nor is it registered as a WMI DSC resource. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey Guys!

In my test lab, I'm building a new ADCS environment with DSC. Only one out of six servers am i receiving an error about "The PowerShell DSC resource MSFT_xAdcsOnlineResponder does not exist at the PowerShell module path nor is it registered as a WMI DSC resource."

The only event ids on the node are 4104  "This event indicates that failure happens when LCM is trying to get the configuration from pull server using download manager WebDownloadManager. ErrorId is 0x6. ErrorDetail is The PowerShell DSC resource MSFT_xAdcsOnlineResponder does not exist at the PowerShell module path nor is it registered as a WMI DSC resource."

All severs in my test lab are identical, they are off the same gold image.

    1.  The Resources are Zipped up with a checksum.

    2.  All other nodes do not have a issue with downloading the resource from the Pull server.

    3. I can see the temp mof's "C:\Windows\System32\configuration\".

    4. If i remove the resource from my configuration the MOF runs fine.

    5. KB 2883200 has been installed.

    6. if i copy the resources to the node and manually run the configuration from the server it runs fine
