How to restore default reports RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm looking at a client's CRM 4.0 installation. None of the default reports are present in CRM (Workplace | Reports) nor in SQL Reporting Services.

I've tried the publishreports.exe command in the tools directory of the CRM program folder but that doesn't work - in fact it mentions publishfromdatabase and of course there are no reports in the database.

I can see a folder called reports in the program folder. Is there a way to easily add the default reports (other than one by one) ?

(I have seen this post http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/crm/thread/9e03eab3-2e83-4043-acea-8df1ed433d14 and it doesn't help my situation).

  • I have a partial answer to my own question.

I uninstalled Update Rollup 15 and then re-installed it. During the installation of UR15 the default reports were added to CRM and then published to SSRS.

It would be nice to have a way of doing this without having to mess around with Update Rollups.
