Previously validated product key blocked after installing OS updates

Question
-
I have owned my laptop for 4 years, purchased at Best Buy with the OS installed (Windows 7 Ultimate). Recently I updated the OS. After two days, it boots up and says my product key is invalid. I did not reload the OS, but there were more than 100 updates installed after the version was validated. Below is the diagnostic report. Please advise.

Take the PC back to Best Buy and discuss the matter with them. If no resolution, contact law enforcement and tell them you believe Best Buy may have committed fraud by selling stolen, pirated software.

Unfortunately, the installed copy of the OEM SLP Windows 7 Ultimate is indeed non-genuine. It is licensed only for an HP PC. You have a Toshiba PC manufactured in 2007, two years before Windows 7 was released.
You'll need to reformat your hard drive and purchase/install a genuine edition of Windows, such as this example.

How can that be? I purchased it directly from Best Buy, brand new in a box.Wednesday, November 20, 2013 2:43 AM
