How do you set BrowserWindow.CurrentBrowser base on test settings for example using web test browser type. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have coded UI tests and I know I can set the BrowserWindow.CurrentBrowser property to be IE or Firefox to choose my browser during the execution of the test.  The question I have is, how can I set this value based on test settings.  I would like to using the Web Test's "browser type" property in the test settings in order to set the BrowserWindow.CurrentBrowser?

If you run the test via the IDE you can grab the test Settings and parse the xml, but how do you do this when you run the test through Test Manager (in Lab Center you create Test Settings and then associate this with a test plan and run).  Basically, is there a way to grab the test setting value's via code.
