Enterprise License pushed thru SMS RRS feed

  • Question

  • We recently deployed Office 2007 Enterprise thru SMS--The package installs fine, until someone attempts to download a template.  The users are then greeted with a message that they may have pirated software.  This is DEFINITELY not the case.  Our network is secure and getting out to install the WGA is not allowed.  Therefore the validation fails.  Is there a way to deploy the WGA thru SMS or Group policy?

  • Good Morning Opt1mus1980,

Thank you for visiting the Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) program forum.  Your post is out of scope for the WGA program forum as well as out of our expertise. I suggest posting your question to the Discussion of WSUS on Windows Server located here:

Also please ask your systems administrator to logon to the eOpen site (https://eopen.microsoft.com/EN/default.asp) and confirm what your company’s assigned Volume Licensing Key "VLK".  Sometimes how customers find themselves in this situation is that when their IT department was creating their VL image to be deployed to their desktops, they sometimes inadvertently use an incorrect product key because it was handy.  Hopefully this will provide help point you in the right direction.

    Take care
