I really have a problem with my BitLocker encrypted disk drive.
On my early PC (from 2009), with OS win7, I encrypted my external WD 500GB MY BOOK disk drive.
Unfortunately old PC died :( and there is a problem.
Now on my new computer with OS win7 or any other, i can't access on my
WD 500GB MY BOOK external drive?!
my First try solution: I try to unlock disk drive with my correct password, and everything seems OK, Disk is unlocked, but when I try to enter the disk I have popup alert message:
Location is not available. J:\ is not accessible.
Access is denied.
After that, I try another option.
my Second try solution: In control panel >system and security > BitLocker Drive Encription I chose my encrypted drive and try to decrypting drive. After maybe 7 hours and 99 percent I got some popup message with error. I don't remember
now how exactly
was the message.
Now, when I log in on windows, on any other device (notebook PC)
where I attaching My external WD 500GB MY BOOKdisk drive,
in my Computer I
have the
following status: My external WD 500GB MY BOOKdisk drive is unlocked,
visible
and recognized as a J:\ drive, but I can't access to him.
when I try to enter the disk again, I have popup alert message:
Location is not available. J:\ is not accessible.
Access is denied.
Also, I have correct password and BitLocker Recovery Key
properly stored
onmy USB stick.
Please help
