True full-duplex audio in MOC? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there any way to turn off all audio echo-suppression and half-duplexing mechanisms in MOC?  I am trying to user MOC to hook up to simultaneous translators who are located overseas.  Unfortunately, when they speak, the software at their end suppresses our send, and they can't hear; or, conversely, when our feed gets loud, our reception of them cuts out.

Currently, we are sending audio to them on MOC (muting their mic in MOC), and receiving audio back via Skype (muting our send in Skype.)  It's a big kluge.

  • no, it's built in. What devices are you using to have such issues of half duplex? it should only kick in when there are really bad conditions leading to echo, as a last measure prior to echo getting out of hand. However unsupported devices may lead to thsoe conditions existing prematurely. Also, what OS version are you running on?
