Off Topic: Registry keys missing? RRS feed

    So, today I was attempting to uninstall a program that was causing me issues. I run the InstallShield wizard, and then, during "Preparing to Install..." I get an Error 0x80040707 from InstallShield. I looked it up, and it was an error with the registry.. So I go in to check it out. But then, when I open Explorer (inside HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Windows\Current Version\), I get a lovely surprise: It's completely empty. Only thing there is the (Default). Any suggestions?
