Profile Activity not getting updated RRS feed

  • Question

  • My Profile activity is not listing the latest activities. Last activity I see is the one around 14 hours ago. I've had many activities since then.

Points are also not getting updated correspondingly. The points have also been static from almost same time. Seems like there's some issue in activity capture + points updating

Answers

  • My concern now is that engineering will fix the problem, but be unable to restore the lost activity. Sometimes we see a flood of activity in our profiles when they fix problems like this, but sometimes the activity (and the resulting points) is lost. I am thinking of holding off on marking answers for awhile.

Looks like that's going to be the case

I see activity + points capture being restored for Forum activities now. However the lost ones during the gap period have not been reinstated yet!

  • Yes, we had such situations in the past. In about 80% of the cases the lost activity was lost forever and in ~20% of cases it was eventually restored.

  • My points increased for articles activities (the ones I edited at some point and now getting author's points). I see no other activity reported such as forums' replies.

  • As far as I can tell it still isn't fixed. I suspect they have their hands full with all the other problems, search service, and various 502, 504 errors. I'd agree I wouldn't hold out a lot of hope for the lost points. That's where I'm at as well, not marking answers.

  • Recent activity is appearing in profiles, but anything older than maybe 12 hours is gone. Statistics (like number of replies and answers) also do not reflect older activity.

Richard Mueller - MVP Enterprise Mobility (Identity and Access)

    yes

    Thats true

So is it that the activity during the gap is irrecoverably lost?

  • So is it that the activity during the gap is irrecoverably lost?

I've asked but have not yet heard back but I suspect, from past history of same issue, that it's lost.
