How to apply for a hardcopy of the MCTS certificate(welcome kit) ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I've took MCTS certification in .Net Framework 3.5,ASP.NET Applications and received MCPID with which i am now able to download the digital certificate and view transcripts.

A couple of my friends who took the certification (.Net Framework 2.0) told they received welcome  kit which included  a hard copy of the certificate.

When i contacted my exam center(India/Kerala/Calicut), i was asked to apply  online for the same by paying some amount, but they couldn't help me further by providing the links to apply.

Could you please help me with the links to apply, also on the amount to be paid to fetch the welcome kit & hard copy of the certificate?.

    Thanks,

    Balaraghav

  • Hello,

If you logon to the site mcp.microsoft.com and return to the area that you downloaded your certificate you will see a link to have a hard copy sent to you next to the download option. You will need to select the certifications and click the link to request this hard copy be sent out.

Be aware that there is a postage charge involved with doing this.

  • If you go into the same page that lets you download the certificate (https://www.mcpdigitalcert.com/MCPDownload/CertificateManager.aspx) and scroll down to the bottom, you will see a button labelled "Order Now" which lets you order the printed version.

As to the cost, the page says "Candidates will need to pay a fee for the physical fulfillment of their certificate(s). The fee includes service charge, handling and shipping fees. All shipments are sent via post; however courier delivery is available for additional shipping charge." I have never ordered any printed certificates, so I can't tell you exactly how much that is, but I suggest that you go through the process until you see the final price. You can always cancel at this point if you find it too expensive.
