Computer still isn't fixed after contacting Microsoft RRS feed

  • Question

  • My computer displayed :"not genuine" (WGA issue) immeadiately after the 1 yr warranty went off. Sound suspicious? I have tried everything including validating twice,  to end up running at a reduced speed and no firewall. I have talked to microsoft "help" many times. No help. I am ready to turn it over to the local news media to get this resolved because I don't know what else to do. They want me to pay for tech support for a microsoft issue that was in the system when I bought it. I don't think so.

Any idea's about how to get his resolved ? I heard that many, many people have had this same problem.

Actually, many people have many different problems. But at this point, you have not describe your particulare issue so I could not say if it is similare to other user's issues or not. Please follow Carey's directions (above) as well as provide a detailed description of your particular issue.

  • Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Download and run the MGA Diagnostic Tool: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. After running the MGA Diagnostic Tool, click on the "Windows" tab and then click on "Copy".

    3. Come back to this thread and paste the Diagnostic Report into a responce post.

    4. A WGA troubleshooting specialist will analyze the data and recommend an appropriate solution.
