* windows 7 build 7600 not genuine - dell upgrade RRS feed

  • Dell Studio XPS 13 upgraded from Vista Home Premium to Win 7 Home Premium - now being reported as not genuine.  Results from the MGADiag tool below.  

    I'm holding the Win 7 Upgrade Option Dell branded disk in my hand sent to me by Dell, with the COA sticker on the cover.

    I've also tried SFC /SCANNOW to repair any files, to no help.

  • Issue is resolved - I took ownership of the sppwinob.dll file and took a copy of the file from a second genuine windows 7 machine in my apartment.
