    Hi there. I've had a similar experience - bought what I believed to be a full retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate on Ebay. Only to find out the license has been blocked (but the software is genuine MS).

    My question is: Can I still activate my Windows 7 Ultimate if I change the product key (ie buy another retail version)?

    Hello Prakash Muthukrishnan,

    Yes, if you purchase a genuine full packaged product  (or purchase a genuine product key directly from Microsoft and Microsoft only), use the Change Product Key link on the System Properties page to accomplish the change.
