If I use the homeserver console to remove a USB backup drive (using the temporary option) does this ensure that there is no activity between the WHS and the drive, so that I can then simply unplug the drive safely from the WHS. And that I don't need to
log on to the WHS itself and use the normal "Safely Disconnect Hardware" procedure required when disconnecting protable storage. I just want to be sure before I corrupt a drive.
Yes, when you temporarily remove a USB backup drive that way, it's much like the "safely remove" option for other USB mass storage devices. I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
