Collecting Live Mesh logs doesn't complete properly RRS feed

    One slightly odd behavior is that after running the create LM logs applet, there's no .CAB file on the desktop. During the operation of the program, a CMD window appears, various things happen, all of which seem reasonable, the window closes, and that's that. Searching for the .CAB brute force doesn't bring anything up.

    Hi Nicholas,
    There are several known bugs with the log collection script that will be fixed in the next update.  Do you have a space in your NT username, or redirected your Desktop, or are running on a 64-bit machine?  If you open a bug in Connect for the issue you're actually experiencing, our agents can provide you with a script that fixes these issues.

    Hi Dev Duck,

    Well, my Vista username is firstname space lastname... This might be part of the problem. Anyway, I'll open up a bug report.

    BTW Live Mesh is a great technology... is there a more formal roadmap available for those with a need to know? We have an application that will make use of several key Live Mesh features as part of our infrastructure and functionality. We can continue this discussion off-list if you'd like.
