Clients with validation issues RRS feed

  • Question

I have several clients who purchased computers from another company whose comptuers do not have COAs and the Product Key displayed in windows is licensed to the company.  I have some personal home users and then possibly a private university as well.  How do I go about validating their copies of windows without having to purchase windows all over again?

  • If those computers have a Volume License that belongs to the company that originally owned the computers, that Volume License is non-transferrable.  Thus, you would need to purchase a new license for each computer in order to be genuine.
