Windows Activation Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello ,

I have a problem similar to the one Uconn is facing . I just installed a few hardware devices the other day & later windows asked me to activate my copy since it recognised significant hardware changes , and when i enter the product key it says that the product key has exceeded it's number of uses . Can i get help on this matter ?

I have pasted the diagnostic report below .

  • Tyrael,

Do a phone activation.  You'll get the automated system that will also tell you too many activations, but then choose the option to speak with a rep, explain your hardware changes (if this is an OEM copy, hopefully you did not chnage the motherboard for perfomance reasons!!), answer their questions, and if all is well you will get a new activation code and you will be fine.
