Many computer manufacturers install a trial version of Microsoft Office. In order to use this program after the trial period has ended, you'll need to purchase a product key (license) for Microsoft Office. Please note that the product key affixed to your computer is for Microsoft Windows and not for Microsoft Office. Please review the following:
How to determine whether you have a trial edition of a 2007 Office suite or program installed
How to buy the 2007 Microsoft Office suites

You have a trial edition of Office on the computer. You will have to purchase Office 2010 now as 2007 is no longer available.
You, as a student, qualify to use Home and Student version of Office. You can purchase online download from Microsoft Store or purchase at your local office supply store. When you get it uninstall the Office trial and any activation assistant, reboot the computer and then install your purchased Office 2010 software.
I would also suggest that you use proper English sentence structure and grammar when posting online. This is not a chat group or text message group where your type of information delivery is appropriate.
Both Carey and I have said that the trial is no longer valid. You will have to purchase a full retail edition of Office 2010 now to continue to use Office products.

My Acer laptop did NOT have a trial version of the software. Nowhere in any of the Acer documentation does it refer to a trial. Under the product on a Microsoft label it says Microsoft Certified Product with some special silver bands to show legitimacy. I don't want office 2010. I don't need it and I don't need another laptop. This is another infuriating reason the absolutely DESPISE Microsoft.Saturday, June 30, 2012 10:23 PM

You can help yourself by starting a NEW thread/question, and post what you DO have, rather than what you don't have, and including an MGADiag report so that we have some idea of what you're talking about - instead of replying to a thread that was answered over 18 months ago.
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, pleasePlease also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

One Issue Per Thread:
Most Activation and Validation issues look the same, on the surface, but can have many different causes and fixes. This is why we ask for a diagnostic report and this is also why we ask that you create your own thread for your issue (in other words, don't post your issue in another person's thread).
It just becomes too complicated to try to troubleshoot multiple different issues in the same thread.

Which part of "You can help yourself by starting a NEW thread/question, and post what you DO have, rather than what you don't have, and including an MGADiag report so that we have some idea of what you're talking about - instead of replying to a thread that was answered over 18 months ago."
did you not understand?
...and YES, your installation of Office WAS a Trial version - as demonstrated by the following...
Office Status: 102
Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 - 100 Genuine
If you want confirmation, start a NEW QUESTION in the following Office specialist forum.
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2007-office_install
DO NOT respond to an old thread - it will only confuse the issue
