If you sort by "last post" and someone proposes or marks a reply (maybe mine!) as an answer, this does not force the thread to the top of the list.
It would be useful the "last reply" item in the main display would be replaced by "last action", and that any action in the thread would contribute to the "last post" ordering.
I beleive the feeling was that only new posts should bring threads to the top since this is a representation of content. I think that I would be annoyed if I had been following a thread and it said there was an update, but nobody had posted anything new fopr me to read.Matt Fraser, STO Forums Software Developer

I guess this is the old questioner/answerer dichotomy. As an answerer, I would certainly like to know if one of the posts had been marked (or even proposed) as an answer.

OK, if you do not want to replace "Last post" by "Last action", how about an additional "Last action" item in the sort options? "Last post" could still be the default.
