Hi
Try restarting Async Services and the IIS Services. and make a log on from the browser of server. if still doesn't works try restarting de CRM server , and the sql services.
In adittion check the CRM UR-7 Install log for any warning or error

Did you see this when you acces via web or outlook client ?
Try to start/restart CRM AsyncService. Try to log on the account on which you installed MS CRM.

Did anyone manage to resolve this issue? We are facing the same problem and believe it has to do with CRM and Active Directory getting out of sync following the installation of the rollup. Incidentally, installing rollup 8 also causes the same problem.Thursday, January 7, 2010 10:53 AM

I have the same problem and I see there were no recent updates to this post. If someone has the resolution, please post it. I have opened a case with Microsoft and I hope to get an answer. Other symptom is that the server evidently wasn't rebooted recently until after rollup 7 because the SQL account running the processes needed an updated password upon reboot. Thanks in advance!

As per my experience, I have NOT been able to logon to CRM (even with admin login) after the install of rollup update 4.
On a brand new installation of MS CRM 4.0, I installed Rollup Update 3, and it worked fine. But when I installed rollup update 4 or 5 and restarted the server, I got the error - "Business Management Error, You are trying to create a user with a domain logon that does not exist".
If I install Rollup update 6 or a later update, I get the error - "Invalid user authorization"
I checked that Network Service account has [dbo] schema role on the organization database in SQL Server.
Please anyone, if you know any remedy, kindly share it.
Thanks in advance.Tuesday, February 23, 2010 7:50 AM -
Hi,
We resolved the Invalid User Authentication error by removing any DNS forwarding we had on the CRM web servers (which were load balanced).

Hi Asim,
Thanks for your reply.
My CRM server is Windows SBS 2008. And the network administrator would NOT allow removing DNS forwarding on this machine.
Any other idea?Tuesday, February 23, 2010 9:07 AM -
Hi Ajay,
This was a recommendation given to us by Microsoft, so I'm afraid not. I would log the call with MS if this is the case and state that removing DNS forwarding is not an option. Alternatively, I would ask your network administrator why specifically he needs DNS forwarding in this scenario, explaining him/her the issue with CRM.
Hope that helps.

Hi Asim,
In investigated further - I edited the web.config file of CRM to set DeveloperError = "On".
After this when I try to login to CRM, it shows the internal error: -
Could not find GUID for server <MyCRMServerName>$
I verified that the OU contains the groups created by CRM during installation and CRM server is member of: -
PrivUserGroup and
SQLAccessGroup
To test properly, I have setup a new virtual machine for CRM, the software config is: -
Windows Small Business Server 2008 Standard (Virtual machine) x64, with SP2 & latest updates (is also the domain conroller)
MS SQL Server 2008 Standard edition (Full install)
MS CRM 4.0 Server
CRM Rollup Update 3
It works fine up to rollup update 3. But when any of the higher RU is installed, I can not log in to CRM server.
If higher RU is un-installed and only RU3 is left, it starts working again.I have tried all the things said above in this post, but all in vain. The CRM setup user is the domain admin user.
I have tried this on another non-domain controller machine (Windows Server 2008 Standard) and Windows Server 2003 standard also.Any help shall be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi, I encountered the same problem after updates 7 for CRM 4.0 . I did everything suggested
and performed a SQL server reboot. The problem resolved.
Hope this helps.Thursday, March 4, 2010 2:43 PM -
I had a similar issue with a Migration... My solution was the followoing:
If you did an import follow starting from here... if not see futher down.
1) Disable the Organization you setup with your default install.
2) Enable the new organization that you imported and set it as your default
a. Restart the server
b. Or try iisreset and restart the async service for CRM
3) If that does not work try removing\deleting the org. that you setup with your default install of CRM from deployment mgr.
a. Restart server
****Start here if you did not do an import *****
I looked at MS KB950100 which has some info that may shed light on your issue. Here is what I had to do since I was running on W2K8 w/CRM 4 & SQl 2K5 all on one machine.
add the "Network Service Account" or the account you are running the CRM service under to the following groups IIS_USRS & CRM_WPG group
and restarted the server.
Next check IIS 6 or 7 and verify the applciation pool that CRM is running under. Again mine was running under the Network Service account.
Then I had to add the Network SErvice account to my SQL server so it had access to the CRM databases. (connect to sql open roles.. add the user to sysadmin role) select the db's it needs to access click ok. Restart IIS.) and you should be up and running.
If not reboot one last time.
