Tasks disappearing from CRM 2011 but suddenly appear in Outlook RRS feed

  • We have had this happen to several users now and can't figure out what the issue is.  Tasks which are usually maintained in CRM 2011 are disappearing from CRM and suddenly showing up in Outlook (some users have 2010 and some have 2013).  Doesn't seem to matter if it is Outlook 2011 or 2013.  We have not changed the sync settings at all.  When the tasks show up in Outlook they completely disappear from CRM (not cancelled, not completed, just deleted completely). 

    What can cause this and how can we get the tasks back from Outlook into CRM?

  • Hi, our customer with CRM 2011 On-Premise has experienced the same behaviour just now. Open tasks have disappeared from CRM and they remained in Outlook, but not synchronized any more. It was reported after MS Office upgrade to 2016 version on user's computers. Any ideas?
