From MS CRM sent email does not appear in mail box sent Item. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am using MS CRM 4.0 and I have configured Email Router. I am able to send email from MS CRM and also able to receive email in MS CRM.

When I am receiving any email in MS CRM that also shows into my mail’s Inbox but when I send any mail from MS CRM It shows only in MS CRM .

Why this sent mail does not show in my mail box sent item?

  • Take a look at your personal options sending emails. Are you using outlook or email router. If you choose email router to send emails all emails from crm are sent directly through email router. So they won´t shown in you sent emails box in outlook.

If you choose outlook to send out emails you can write and send emails within crm but your outlook client has to be opened to send out these emails. So if you´ve created an email in crm and click on send the status is pending. Starting your outlook client then will sync this email with outlook and outlook will send out this email (now outlook is your email router!). Therefore you´ll find your emails in sent items folder.

  • I'm not sure you'll see them even then. The Outlook option means the Outlook client for CRM sends the emails, not Outlook itself I believe. The only way I know to get emails to appear in the sent items in Outlook is to send and track the email from Outlook.

  • No, my mistake. I just tested it and sure enough they pop into the outbox and then into sent items. Apologies for my early morning confusion.
