MacConnector not connecting. RRS feed

    Hey, I'm having trouble getting the Connector to connect to my server, I get a message saying "Cannot connect to the server with the IP address that is specified. Check if the specified value is correct then try again." However, I have no trouble connecting to the file shares on the server or connecting to it via HTTP.

    This is all over a local network, the server has a fixed IP address. Client machine is running Mac OS 10.6.4. If I left something out please let me know, its late at night here and I'm not fully conscious.

    I had the same issue at first.  Here is how I got it to work. 

     

    1.  Go to the connect site on a windows pc.

    2.  On the connect screen you have the option to download the mac connector software.

    3.  Download the mac connector, throw it on a flash drive, and then open it on your mac.

     

    That was the only way I was able to get it to work.
