Unable to fully delete a node RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a node that was offline and out of my HPC2016 cluster that keeps reappearing as unapproved.  This machine was retired and the AD computer account was deleted days ago.  It appears as if the removing node operation keeps reverting because it is off.  Is there any way to remove this from my cluster list permanently, without restoring a backup and uninstalling HPCPack from the device?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Jay,

Could you check why the "delete" node operation reverted?

  • Hi,

Could you try to delete again, and send us(hpcpack@microsoft.com) the TWO HPC Management log files (%CCP_DATA%LogFiles\Management\HpcManagement_AA_<index>.bin) with latest indexes on the head node?

It will be helpful if you can also tell us the node name you tried to remove, and the time(with timezone) you performed the removal operation in the mail.
