They seem caught up now, http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/visualfoxprogeneral/thread/394ff6d2-f044-4c46-a001-123420299fd6/#7dee323c-42ee-4ee1-aae6-01b39cfd38f0 shows up as 'about an hour ago' which is close to when you answered the question...so I think things are back on track for the most part, Points may be behind for a while though. You don't need to ping us, we should have monitoring set up, which we did in this case, but it went off very early and people didn't see it soon enough, something we have corrected (as we work on the root cause of the service issue itself).

Recognition update started a few hours ago. Later today (3-5pm PST) we are deploying a Forums update. So activities/points will be delayed likely until tonight. So after talking to folks, this isn't a surprise, given the recognition work underway.

Points can take up to 24 hours to be processed. Usually its pretty quick. I guess if points, alerts and activities are all lagging, that's mostly when we want to know about it. Even though we've beefed up the monitoring on the usual suspect (notification service) it helps when you all ping us when these three features all seem slow. For now, I think things are working as expected.

Some back end services were offline from 1am to about 8am PST today 8/8/2011. The service was bounced this morning and things should be working again, sorry for the inconvenience. Everything should be working at this point and we are keeping an eye on it. Realize points calculations may lag behind, they could take 24hrs for points to be reflected, regardless of service issues. We have pri 1 bugs on this thing for a while but it has been difficult to completely resolve.
