ASUS LAPTOP PRODUCT KEY INVALID RRS feed

  • Question

  • I HAVE UPGRADED TO WINDOWS 10 (NOT YET ACTIVATED) AFTER A HARD DRIVE CRASH AND NEW HD INSTALL.  TRIED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM FROM KEY AND SAME FOLLOWING ISSUE. THE PRODUCT CODE FOR WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM THAT CAME WITH THE LAPTOP WHEN I PURCHASED IT NEW IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE LAPTOP AND IS VERY CLEAR.  ERROR CODE 0XC004F050 WHEN I ENTER THE CODE.

WHY WOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN ON THIS MACHINE?

    CONCERNED.

  • Thanks for the reply.  Good info to double check.

Doesn't appear to be that.  Product Key on bottom of laptop VERY clear.

Spoke to Microsoft activation help and they told me they are aware of the problem and to try again in 48 hours about 72 hours ago.  Still not working.

  •  0xC004F050 usually means that you've misread a character - either C/G/6 or B/8 or Y/V are the most common, an O/0 is almost always a Q

    Note that the following characters cannot be used - A E I L N O S U Z 1 0 - so don't bother trying unless you like the noise it makes :)

No - I do not work for Microsoft, or any of its contractors.
