CRM 4.0 orders and accounts RRS feed

  • Hello.

    I have two related accounts (organisations): a child and a parent. If I create a new salesorder on the child account, it's also displayed as if it were connected to the parent account (when you go to the orders tab on the left menu, on the parent account form). Can anyone explain the reason for this behaviour? I'm using CRM 4.0.

  • Account is a special entity in CRM. The order binding to the child will bind to the parent as well. Vice versa, if you query the order for a parent account, the order belongs to the child account will be roll up to the result as well.

  • If you don't wan't this behavior you can make a custom relation (account to account), but be aware that you then will loose all heritage.
