Even though I loaded and activated the OneCare program only 2 months ago, it's notifying me that the trial period is almost over.  I purchased the software, so it should be a 1 yr subscription instead of 3 months. I've rerun the disc and it says that it's already been installed, but how can I tell if it's installed correctly?

  • Sign in with your LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com to verify your subscription status. If it shows active, then use this LiveID to activate OneCare using the subscribe/activate link in your trial installation.

If this fails to change the status in OneCare, please contact support.

  • I log in to support with the LiveID I used to install OneCare but it doesn't recognize that as an active subscription so I'm unable to access Support.

  • If your subscription can't be validated by the support process (I hate that process!), use the instructions in the FAQ post for selecting the option that you are a trial user to proceed to opening an email support case.
