Please go to www.microsoft.com/genuine/diag
1) Click 'Start Diagnostics'
2) You should see 'Fail' next to 'Computer Time and Date correct'
3) Click 'Resolve Now'
The tool will either:
4a) Correct the issue itself.
or

Do you have any hardware or software firewall programs installed. If so please make the necessary adjustments in your firewall program (or, less desireably, temporarily disable it) and try again.

I am not exactly sure except to temp. disable it long enough to allow the updates to occur. Maybe you can also lower the shield quite abit without totally disabling it.
