    It seems more often than not that Live Mesh has an update almost every day.  Is this really true or am I stuck in a groove here?

    OK, becoming the Administrator worked and also solved my other problem of not benig able to connect to my computer remotely, but this means the program is programmed incorrectly to need administrator rights.
