After weeks of no problems, new Windows 7 Prof install now states invalid license

Question

Hi,
I purchased and installed a Windows 7 Professional OEM from www.discountmountainsoftware.com. This OS was installed onto my iMac running Bootcamp (upgrade from Vista). The version I purchased was not an upgrade version, but a full blown license. I have been running fine since Mid July. Last week, I all of a sudden got the message about my Windows 7 not being Genuine. Below is the output of the tool. How can all of a sudden my license is invalid? I still have the email receipt from discountmountainsoftware. Please advice.

Moving thread to Windows 7 section

This copy of Windows is only valid installed at the factory.
Windows Product ID Type: 2
Windows License Type: OEM SLP
Apple does not install Windows on iMacs at the factory. Your copy is copied from a Dell computer. A Mac does not have a BIOS so cannot have the required SLIC table in the BIOS that this copy of Windows requires for activation.
OEM Activation 2.0 Data-->
BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC table
Discount Mountain Software is not authorized to sell an SLP copy of Windows. They are only authorized to sell an OEM System Builder copy (Type 3). Even so, you are not eligible to use an OEM copy of any type since OEM copies are only for use by Original Equipment Manufacturers, which you clearly are not. Only retail copies of Windows are valid for use with BootCamp on any Mac.
You need to purchase a full license copy of Windows for your iMac. An upgrade copy will not help since the copy installed is not legal.

So ***HOW*** exactly is someone to buy a "legitimate" copy of Win7, since you made sure to get all retail outlets to return all their copies of Win7, since you wanted to push your broken and unusable Windows8.

Three things:
1. Please do not resurrect a three year old thread
2. You are not speaking to Microsoft directly. We are all volunteers, none of which are Microsoft employees
3. You can get Windows 7 here.
Please do not read this sentence. Please ignore the previous sentence.
