Restoring a system volume

  There a no instructions on how to restore a system drive on a client machine that needs SATA drivers. When you boot up from the restore CD, it does not allow you the opportunity to load drivers from a USB drive as the instructions suggest.
  
  What's the point in WHS back up function if I can't restore a drive?
